Here at Onneley we pride ourselves on being a friendly club in a great location.  The Golf course is open for play, but in the interests of all, players must book a tee-time.  Members may do so on-line by following this link and may invite guests Monday-Saturday after 10:00, and Sunday afternoons, other than during reserved competition times.

One upcoming competition is the Seniors’ Am-Am.  Usually oversubscribed well before the date, this year we couldn’t be certain it would be feasible to have a shotgun start event on 1st September, so it was only decided a few weeks ago to try to run it.  If you want a fun day out with good golf and great catering – and maybe a prize too – mail us at seniors@onneleygolfclub.co.uk.   A four-man team costs £90 and includes a hot sandwich before and a snack two-course meal to follow.  Bargain!

VISITORS are now welcome again, Monday to Saturday from 12:00 onwards subject to the following conditions:

bookings open two days before the planned date of play;

they must be made not less than two hours before the intended tee-time;

and may be made by calling the clubhouse on 01782 750577 (which may be manned on reduced hours so please be patient).

Please don’t turn up to play without a prior booking as this will generally be refused.

Bar and catering arrangements are now open again, with the retention of some screening to protect the steward and her staff.

1 Male 7-day membership is now FULL.  Vacancies will be filled by upgrades of 5-day members seeking full membership and those on the waiting-list, which is now open.  Waiting times are fairly short. We still have limited availability for 5-day (Mon-Fri) memberships and Ladies memberships so please follow this link to our membership page or contact us at admin@onneleygolfclub.co.uk for further details.

2 Onneley takes its safeguarding responsibilities very seriously; and the present crisis has tended to overshadow the ongoing priority that the club attaches to them across the board.  This is therefore an opportune time to highlight the arrangements that all members should be aware of, and the role played in particular by Iain Colville, our welfare officer.  Please follow this link for more information.

3 Planned return of bridge at Onneley in 2021: the club hopes to be able to resume bridge on Tuesday afternoons, with a start date not earlier than mid September.  Most local bridge clubs plan to open during August with some restrictions concerning card-handling and masking; so by then we can better assess the risks to members and friends.  A list will be placed in the clubhouse in late August when members can indicate their interest, either in playing or as new/inexperienced players who would value some informal tuition.  Follow this link for more information.
